That handbrake on the driveshaft is an interesting idea...how tough you think it is. Would it be up to pulling lots of handbrake turns?

Don't think he will be doing many handbrake turns, but you never know...

If you built your caliper bracket very strong, I think it could easily take the beating of using it that way. His is strictly for parking, though.

Trans-tunnel-mounted e-brake went in last week and works very well...

A bit of both actually. There is a shop here that makes this spoiler in fiberglass ( www.classicdatsun.com ) and I ordered one for my car. Then Steve called and said hey, can you stamp one out of carbon fiber instead? And a few weeks later he had it in his hand.
