Each 120y has most of my race stuff in/on them.I have another two dauhters yet to buy theres yet,I am out of race bits now but love to play with there cars
The kids where raised around the track. All know what a good/bad driver is and a smooooth good driver.
Anyway Quote:

i have receently come up with a theory on why i have goo car control

my tip is:

drive fast/in slippery conditions with stereo really loud

i have always had good stereos in my cars and often hoon in the car with the stereo so loud i can only faintly hear the wheels slide or spin

and i actually think this has been of benefi to me as i have developed a feel for the car, rather than rely on sounds to indicate whats happening

ooop have to go will finish later..........

Try any thing from CCR I know they kept me insane whilst driving around the windy parts of northern NSW for 2 years. PS there are some really good roads for rallying but you have to look out for kombie vans on high!

i think the government should use the $$ they get from speeding tickets to subsidise track-day costs. rather than condem road racing they should organise safe places for the "boy racers" to go.

in my opion

and this may sound extreme
but
the people will begin rebelling

taking peoples cars and excessive speed cameras and fines will drive people over the edge

the number of people driving dangerous #### boxes (cause their good car was confiscated) with suspended licences will also increase

and its all good and well to say that im so great cause i grew up around the track and so have my daughters, but it takes a lot of money to do that and you need a rich daddy

soon i will be making a good wage and be able to support my own motorsport hobby but at the moment im just trying to get whatever experience i can before i get into it full swing

good on you for laughing at my suggestion, cause it just makes me more passionate and also makes it more enjoyable when i beat all these daddies boys that think they know how it all works, the "proper" way to race

just thinking again......

my driving style i was talking about learning was sliding the car as in a rally not keeping it straight like circuit racing

thats prob why all the circuit boys cant see my logic

oh and if you know so much why the hell would you give your daughters 120y's when they are just gonna be in the shadow of 1200's all the time?

Rallycar what I'm about to say is likely to sound arrogant and condescending so I will apologize up front as I don't mean it too

First off what are you doing sliding you're car around on open roads , pavement or gravel. (This is begging for it)
The radio theory is very interesting but you more than likely were blessed with a good bit of natural driving talent and that is what allows you to drive the car on the limit - the good music just happens to be adding to the experiance.
If you really want to hang the car out you have to go to a track day or competiton event. The compliant about the license fee doesn't hold water - $270 a year is only $22.50 a month. If you throw in two trackdays ,4 or 5 Autocrosses/Gymkanas and a couple of Dirt Autocross/Rallycross you racing would cost you about$75 per month. That is pretty cheap if you ask me. Keep in mind with this kind of budget you will likely not be running many trick parts and you will be milking tires way past there sell by date but even the slowest car on track is still faster than a set a bleachers.
The reason those who go to the track always sound so arrogant about finding the limits of a car off a Track/Stage is because honestly you simply cannot find the limit on open roads. Public roads typically have alot of surface debris - tracks get sweeped clean as cars circulate and rubber build up increases the grip. Stages also getted sweeped clean. Also at a competion event you get 10 years worth of aggressive street driving in one day.
Figure out whatever you have to do to get to track days or other competition events - even if it means eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the month after the event , trust me it will be worth it.

PS on the Elsinore don't you guys have vintage MX like we do in the states?

well we all have our own views. I agree with you guys on this one, its just not worth risking your baby "car" by driving like a idiot on roads, as we all have done in life sometime.ive learnt my lesson by smashing up my old v8 vk commodore from speeding and loosing the control of the rear end. as i said, its jsut no worth the risk of either loosing your car from hitting something or getting it taken away by the police......heh but at times u cant help it, ya know, with wet weather
