ps. it was on here (youtube link) months ago, only just made it to Aus TV.

yeah- I saw this episode when I was in the UK in 2006. I'm not entirely sure it wasn't a repeat even then, but it is certainly a classic episode!

Pity they didn't get the 1000 and 1200 in the UK. They would have belted the crap out of the late 60's English stuff too!

R35 GTR the follow up to the 120y? Well i never would have figured that out!

That 120y is in impecable! it may have had a ground up resto? its in good condition!

Minis are good but they're not that good, they are known as road coffins, they're flawed and very dangerous, the seats flip forward to let the passengers into the back but in the event of an accident it can smash the driver and passenger head into the dash! or worse, turn into a catapault and fing the driver through the windscreen!i once saw a program on vehicle safety and it showed crash tests very interesting!
all Brithish leyland cars aren't the best because of all the turmoil that the workers and management put themselves through, the workers were all ways on and off on strike, its bound to have an effect on the workmanship and quality as well as workers morale all of which is politcally motivated no doubt!
The japanese are different they obviously take pride in their workmanship and it shows still to this day!

british cars used to be very good, the old man has quite a few 50's daimlers (think big luxo cars) they're actually quite reliable - i guess one of the big factors is that they came before all british manufacuters started using bosch electrics!
