im using the wolf 3d in mine. for the trigger i used one of the a series pulleys with aircon and atached a disk with the pickups on it, if that makes sense.

Hey Jake,

Did you have the trigger disk exactly 158mm, like it describes in the manual?
Do the dimensions of the trigger disk matter? I was thinking of setting the hall effect sensor up in the dizzy housing and making a small trigger disk (small alloy disk with magnets indexed @ 90deg run off the dizzy drive)that fits inside.
Ideas...

so how woul one go about using something like CA SR or LS1 type coils on an A or L series, anyone able to tell me how to set that up? would it be easiest just to use the CA or SR cam angle sensor

as thats sorta what id like to do with the injection on mine, the whole quad throttle quad coil thing just seems to make sense

the bigger the dia of your trigger disc the less critical your fabrication skills
ca cas = expensive, hall pickup cheap
have seen mercruiser outboard coils used

CAS cant be that hard to setup can it, just make sure you have some adjustment to get it spot on when it comes to tunring and what not

as all that realy needs to be done it making the top of the dizzy suitable for bolting the CAS onto, copy that the mounting face looks like on the CA. then modify the dizzy shaft to suit the CAS, once again copy what it looks like on the CA

still want to know how crank angle knows what rotation its on

There's a double pulse at cyl No.1 TDC, then another pulse 180deg out. The ingnition wil then then be used as a wasted spark system.

yeah how do you do it not with wasted spark, like coil on plug setup?

as with wasted spark it doesnt matter what rotation your on, quad single coils it does doesnt it

my computer has four ingnition outputs, it takes the signals from the hall effect sensor and works it out.

Hey guys i'm willing to make this another project and I am willing to do some research into this too. I wanna attach ca18de cas to where the rotor mounts and maybe do something like this http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=251827

The CA18 CAS triggers could be used to trigger the GM Ignitor!! who says it has to go into a computer. the CAS could trigger the ignitor.

Maybe the spark needs to be longer and not just triggered instantly? can someone confirm this?

Edit:How do you suppose you would get vacuum advance on it or is it needed in this situation?
