What's up Datsun freaks?! Well, I took my second trip to Matsuoka Engineering this weekend....they only speak Japanese, but the young girl that works there speaks a little bit of English. The first visit wasn't easy, but this last one I think my Japanese got better and her English got better cause we didn't have hardly any problems understanding each other this time. I came back with a (used) GX rear spoiler, a nice (used) rear bumper, and a set of adjustable coil springs w/aluminum top hat. Last time I was there I got some of those stainless fender mounted mirrors (Sunny GX/Excellent?). The car is lookin good now...a lot different too, I really like it. I got to peek at a new fiberglass GX5 hood that they sell there too. It costs around 35,000 Yen, and it bolts right on. Only problem is getting it back home, I don't think it will fit in the back. I was thinking I'd drive there without my hood, then buy the GX one and put it on for the drive back. I guess they have a little experience with the B310 A series EFI setups, but they prefer to go with Webers/MSR carbs instead because you need aftermarket tuning ability to get anything out of those EFI's apparently, such as a Haltech, etc. They found out my 2 year old NISMO header cracked a weld at the flange, so they offered to repair it next time I have it off. They couldn't believe I fit 15" wheels on the 1200 without flares, they liked the tires/wheels a lot. Next time I go I'm going to try to get an adjustable caster/camber kit (25,000 yen), a Cusco strut bar (10,800), fender flares (20,000) and the fiberglass GX hood if I can afford it all. Maybe some new leaf springs for the back too, they have two sets; 4cm lower or 8cm lower. This stuff isn't really cheap, but where else can you get it?! I told them I have lots of "friends" that want to buy stuff from them too, so start saving! Max weight I can send is 70 lbs, and shipping isn't cheap for large items so keep that in mind! I'll try to get some newer pictures up, but until then.....later guys!

in austr. the b310 only came in carby form , but i was lucky to find factory inj. at an importers shop. grabbed it and put it away for awhile, got a programmable engine management. it is much better than a carby set up, any carby .it is worth it , i think. is there much for the b310

Adjustable coil springs? Like coilover kit? or shakocho? (japanese) If so I'm very interested. You know you can MPS stuff to me for free right? How much for the mirrors (bullet type right?)

Wow. The prices don't sound too bad for such rare-to-us items. Too bad shipping on a hood would be so much ... that's about $280 USD for the carbon fiber hood I think.

The GX-5 hoods are fiberglass, not carbon fiber. I didn't know it's free to ship to Okinawa. What does MPS mean? I'm still pretty new to everything so bear with me. Yeah the mirrors are the bullet type and cost 15,000 yen and appear to be made of stainless steel, but the lower part looks like some type of chrome plated steel. The adjustable coil springs kit (30,000 Y) consist of a metal threaded sleeve that fits around the strut with two large adjusting nuts for a perch, an aluminum top hat and your choice of stiffness of springs. You're supposed to cut off the old spring perch and weld the sleeve to the strut, but I didn't have time or resources to do that. I need to pass JCI soon and it was "too low" so I just threw the sleeves on top the old spring perch instead of welding and used a thick piece of rubber between it and the sleeve to keep any threads or the sleeve itself from getting damaged. There was a problem with the top hat though, either they gave me the wrong one, or it's made for some other kind of upper isolator/bearing. That will be solved with the adjustable caster/camber kit hopefully in two weeks. It doesn't handle any better than my old springs, but my tires aren't scrubbing the fenders around corners anymore I'll be making a return trip in 2 weeks, so

You can ship to any base in whatever MAJCOM you're at for free. Just gotta box it up and bring it to the post office and write MPS on it... pretty cool so were you able to use the springs with the top hat or did you use the stock ones? I may put in an order for some MSR carbs later... not right now though.
