JDM means Japanese Domestic Market. Its just any car sold new in Japan.

Similarly Australia has ADM and NZ has NZDM

The grille badges are different years. Round is early 70s and square is late 70s.

Anyone know the exact years these changed?

Round Emblem:
I'd guess Jan 1970 until Aug 1973

Rectangular Emblem:
I'd guess ~Aug 1973 until Dec 1979.

So my 1973 is a bad guess..So then It must be 76ish then. That makes sense, now that I think about it, but the 1979 date for the end date for the square emblem grill is right, I got that from Sth Africa Nissan website.

I think even the Ute grills have the space for a round coupe badge, but instead has the square emblem. I think the round emblem coupe grill wasn't ever fitted to the Ute. The Ute had either Metal grill with round emblem, or the plastic coupe grill with rectangle emblem, or the plastic grill with the square lights (bakkie).
