ca 18det surging problems

just got my car on the road and surges between about 800 and 1000 rpm at idle. has r31 fuel tank, standard computer, no surge tank, unsure on injectors. has anyone else had this issue or any opinions on what it could be???? cheers

Most likely it's either:
1. a stuffed fuel regulator, or
2. the TPS position needs resetting, or TPS is dirty (TPS = throttle position sensor)

its been sitting a while now ( about 4 months ) and just filled the tank with fresh ultimate, could it have been the fuel leaning out cos it seems better now????
