By far the easiest way to do this is to use a blower off a 1600, mount it in the normal alternator position and draw through an
1 3/4'' SU carb ( off any old horrible BMC 1800).You will have to prune the needle somewhat and also get the clutch welded up on the blower drive but it will work well.
As far as the inlet manifold goes your best bet is to make up a log type- that is 4 half U bends connested to a top runner with the compressed charge feeding into the middle.
Correctly set up this will work a treat.
FYI some years ago I had an A14 in a 1200 4 door that had a Marshal blower ( a cabin pressurisor off a world war 2 Victor bomber)
with exactly this setup. It turned 112hp at the rear whells and would cut a 1/4 mile in 14.6 seconds at 87 mph.

Sounds like it was a weapon!! Was it reliable? What boost were u running? You say use a 16oo blower. Which type is this??

how does the blowa go in draw thru form. dosnt screw up the clearances in it does it? Is it off the 4agze? good work tho, sounds like a worthwhile project for my car! would be heaps cheaper than turboin it as blow thru
