I really like the old brown seats and the colour is the real thing!!!!, I would leave it
original, fill up the riveted black round badges on the rear, whitewalls tires, venetians.
There a few with the old charm of this styling most go boy racer or rice.
The globes will look good with whitewalls they are very period.
Get Mick to do you a BW or Hilux diff with 3.25 ratios shortened to suit with rear disc
brakes and a High comp a15 11.1 with Impco 125 and 60 litre LPG tank.
Get 1750 from the Gov for LPG conversion and save money and the world :)

I think even with a 60L lpg tank I'd have to fill up every second day
I'm gonna get a tune and see if I can squeeze a tiny bit extra economy out of it... and stop it sounding like an old man when i turn it off.

whitewalls are so 50s! why would i wanna put them on a 70s car?
I like the venetians but I have enough trouble seeing out the back as it is

the old brown seats were rooted, they hadn't been mounted properly and had a couple of cigarette burns
I liked the look of them too but I appreciate the comfort of my new seats on the long haul trip to work!

i'd love to keep it all original, granny spec, but once you start modifying one thing it's an escalating process

60lt lpg, way cheaper than 35lt petrol ;)

Whitewalls where the factory tyres for datsuns and other jap cars till the late 70s.
But its your choice.
The seats looked better in the pics than obviously in real life, bummer.

Petrol prices will kill us all again very soon. LPG is the fuel of Australias near future
and you could fit an 80lt tank Im sure. Saves with all the driving you do.
