see diference in space compared 1200 engine bay?
There is almost no difference in engine bays between B110 and B210 sunnys. They are the same width. Now the B310 Sunny is wider. See photos here: Tech: Engine Compartment

Try the Classifieds. This discussion is about B210 (not '72 B110).

Hi all, I'm pretty new to the Datsun scene having just picked up My first B210(auto very sad), I am having a little problem that possibly someone could shed some light on. The car runs great, new coil, plugs, distributor, radiator, starter, oil all that stuff. The problem is when I begin to accelerate from a stop the car "chokes" like it's not getting enough gas/air and almost dies, the only thing I can do is open the throttle quickly and wide or throttle really slowly(which doesn't always work). Someone told me to rip all the horrible emissions stuff off as that's the problem, I think i may also have a faulty "automatic temperature control unit". Any help much appreciated. Sorry for the long post.

Also anyone have a 120y/B210 Stock Tachometer they want to sell? Not looking to break the bank here. Just let me know. Thanks very much!

Just had that problem. It was an plugged fuel line. (the metal part from the tank to the engine). It was letting fuel thru to idle but not enough to run. Drove me crazy for a while. To see if this is the problem for sure - run a new fuel line directly from your tank up to your filter - than go for a spin. If this solves the problem than blow out your line with air. I also plugged the line on the tank side and filled with solvent and drained again, to loosten up any crusties that hung on tight. Hope this helps

Me again, make sure the temp line runs with the metal line (away from the exhaust) and secure the temp line securely to the metal line with ties. You dont need a new problem like leaking fuel - dangerous stuff!

One other item, others may disagree with me.....but...I have never had a smog device that is propely maintained cause me a problem. Actually the oposite has usually been the case, after "ripping out" all of the smog equpment my cars have not run properly.
