anyone had bumpers powder coated?

i think it would be the best way to get a tough coating

talked to a friend who does coating but he only has a sand blaster and said it would twist the thin bumpers we have

hmmm... i have the day off thurs, might see if i can find somewhere and update if no one else has an idea before then

Have you thought of a spray on bedliner (Herculon?), I hear if you rough up the surface it will take real well and become quite durable. This would be an easy diy with a minimal expense. Just food for thought - I havn't tried it.

Have you thought about using Hammerite paint. It has a hard finish when fully cured.

With car stuff its touch and go especially if your doin high speed it just chips like any paint would with a stone chip. Hit em with 60 even 40 grade flapper disc on ya grinder 2 pac prime and smooth out any scuffs with a spray putty then paint em the desired colour. Thats how we've done em over the years.
