Cheers Aiden, read the last paragraph of the first write-up:

"The black & white photo's are just as the camera is. It appears since the recent "Souf Ostraya" Datsun party my camera seems to have a hang-over (stuck on black & white)."

I need to talk to you about machining stuff again.

Electronic ignition, 12mm spark plug leads

Previous owner obviously didn't have his timing sorted, I am hoping that this is the extent of the damage, will check associated parts in case of damage - 1.5mm over-sized pistons with valve recesses

Give an idea of valve size

Hey Nick,

Nah mate, I ended up throwing it out. The vacuum was shot as well as the spindle at the center of it. There were ball bearings rolling around in it so it was pretty shot. It would have cost the same price again (probably more) just to get all the replacement parts.

I ended up buying a dizzy from Mal for the B10 now.

Slight freshen up on the engine and it's back together. Suspect rocker bolt though, doesn't want to torque up. Looks like it'll need a helicoil or timesert.

Hey Dan,

I am definitely keen to get an engine stand made up. I need to get a drawing together and all that though and I'm running out of time, seems there aren't enough hours in the day.

I also have another little job that will get you some quick cash, I'll ring you tomorrow with some details, it is straight forward welding that should take only a couple of hours.

Timing issue was solved and it wasn't as serious as I initially thought.

Cheers
