Hi,

I'm doing some compression calculations and I'm missing this variable, any one knows this for the std tightening torque?

Thanks

daniel

I believe it is 1.5mm after torquing. The GX gasket is 0.8mm very thin.

Hi,

I've bought the gasket from ebay, and it mesures 1.5mm. It will not compress any thing after I torque it?

Thanks.

If it is 1.5mm to start with, I do not know.

Anyone know?

Will the gasket manufacturer provide tech info?

That would be info that the manufacturer would need to provide since depending on the materials that the gasket is made from, will change the final height.

ie if the gasket is very hard/dense then very little compression would occur before the max torque setting is reached.

a very soft gasket will compressess more before the max torque setting is reached.

Hiya, I was trying to work this out the other day. Is this a metal shim? if so then I came up with 8.35/ 1 c/r for an a15 with 77mm bore and standard h89 head.
