I'd like to grab the power assist assembly out of a Datsun 210 at a junk yard for my 1200.. I really doubt it'll fit in next to my clutch slave cylinder tho.. Anyone done this?
I just want easier braking.. ;)

You can put power assist gear from a 210 onto a 1200. Thats what alot of people do. All 1200s here have cable clucth anyway so the slave
cylinder isnt there.

From what I've seen, the left hand drive have hydralic clutches, and the right hand drive have cable clutches.. I've got a left hand drive (America..), I haven't actually crawled
under the dash yet to see how it's attached or anything, but maybe I'll be able to move the whole clutch assembly over an inch or so, that would be all I'd need. (BTW.. A 120Y is a
210, as far as I know)..

for better braking I adapted 510 rotors to stock 1200 hubs used jfz 4 piston calipers and installed a master cylinder from a 280zx Prior to that i used a remote power assist unit from
a honda 600

I think it's common to use the Mitsubishi KA/KB Lancer (1975?) booster, as it uses the same two holes exactly like 1200. The Booster is the same model as the Datsun 180B
(710?) used, just different mount bolts. Then you are best to use a split circuit master cylinder, eg. generally having 2 fill tanks.
This isn't the best picture, but it'll give the idea.
