That is for a Nissan D21 pickup truck.

Datsun A-engine: 2-1/8 inch diameter
21200-05D02: 54 mm (2-1/8 inch)

It is a considerably longer, so make sure it fits into the engine before bolting it up tight.

Hi Guys

That thermostat was correct in diameter ? and i could install it correctly, I have Bench tested in 3 times to make sure it is working fine,i think it was ok, i put in in a pot and kept it to fire and realized that when water starting making bubbles it started to expand it went down about 1 inch or more than that when water is boiling status
so felt it is working on 82 C correctly as specified.
After installing it i went a journey i could be able to drive about 45 KM without any problem when i return back car started overheating. could not drive 3 kM at once as it was mid night i removed the radiator cap and came around 30KM without any problem then again it got overheated, stopped it for a while filled water again after that i could be able to run it only 8-10Km without the radiator cap even.
I made sure that the indicator doesn't come or pass H Line Mark, what do u think guys ? is my radiator not enough to cool it down or any think wrong with Thermostat ?
I am very tired of the week end filled water more than fuel

Thanks
Regards
sumith

How did you determine that is was overheating? Did steam come out of the bonnet? Did the gauge needle go out of the middle range into the H area on the far,far right?

The engine can run all day close to the "H" mark. Just don't let it go over that.

That's OK.

The engine bay should be extremely hot (82C/180F) is too hot to put your hand on it.

Maybe buy another new thermostat and see how that goes, also check the sender resistance just to be sure.
Or try pulling the centre out of an old thermostat, refitting it and see how it goes, works for me but my engine is modified.
