Ive heard or read somewhere the a10 is 3mm shorter than the a12?
can anyone confirm this?
Im wanting to use the longer rods and bigger pistons for an E15ET
turbo with 20mm pins and need the later rods to fit with in the lil
bugger of a thing.

In the Ozdat calculator if I use 186.1mm block height I can use the a12a
conrods and 33mm e15et pistons and still have 2.1mm left before tdc.
If its less than 186.1 Im in strife unless I use Vitara pistons with 28.1mm c-c.

Per "Vol. 126 Introduction of Datsun 1200 2-door Sedan Model LB110TRU"
Quote:
Principle difference between the engine A10 and A12 is a longer piston stroke, so that the height is 0.394 in (10 mm) higher than that of the A10. The overall length, however, remains the same.

The rod length is listed as 4 mm difference.

Youre a Datto Deity DD :))) thanks heaps!!!

So the wiki should read 179.1mm forcing me to use
a 28.1mm C_C piston like a Vitara 75mm for 0 deck clearance
when using the later a12a rods. The pin size is 19mm on these
pistons and the Honda D tuners are putting 25psi through them.
So 10psi should be nothing for them except they are not dished
comp is going to be 2 high unless I use a shim or decomp head.

I don't know what the actual block height is. Feral one time said A14 was 204.1mm...

Should be easy to measure if you have a block with the piston out.

Another method.

Since the A10 & A12 heads are dimensionally the same, & the two cams are in the same place in relation to the centerline of the crank [same timing chain] as well as both engines sharing the same tappets, then it would be reasonable to assume that the difference in pushrod length would be the same as the difference in block deck heights.

Just a thought.

Yes I can do that providing the cam lobes are the same?
Im thinking whether the coupe engine with its 66-67hp might go with Scharger?
Maybe too much overlap? would be nice to know the specs of the kb10 camshaft
to see if its a good grind or not. Need something with a 114 degree lobe separation.
Might have to use a stock b10 camshaft otherwise.

When I look at SC the A10 with a H89 I feel it shouldnt be overkill as the boost will make sure
the charge velocity is right up there with the bigger ports which in NA would just kill the low
down torque. I hear motorbikes love the little chargers I have in my possession.

Except that we already know authoritatively the difference is 10 mm. But what is the actual full deck height? "If" it is 189.1 doesn't tell us if it really is...
