how much current can i pull through my heater wires in a 1000?

hey guys just bought a electric heater of ebay. as soon as i plugged in the thing it blew the fuse to my lighter (drawing to much current). i was thinking of wiring it up to the original heater plug but im not sure how much current i can draw through it. my heater takes 17 amps max anyone have an idea

Well the fuse is a 10A or 15A circuit, so a 17A heater isn't going to work...

All electric heater elements are commonly fitted to EV conversions, so it is quite reasonable.
Make sure to run new wiring of the right size from the battery, with a fuse right near the battery.
