Yeah i dunno, i used a K&H product, not sure if it's as good as the sheet deadener but it has to be better than nothing! I ended up trowelling it on haha, a brush did nothing.

Sounds like you've got the same stuff you use to cork a timber deck on a boat armiee! Jokes.

Hamza those steel door handles on the insdie of the doors were of a non-deluxe model. Remember that link i sent you of your car when it was grey? was it a deluxe or non-deluxe (badges) back then?

Chris, not too sure ... I dont think that pic had any badges at all on it ...

Im not a fan of those steel handles ... very awkwardly placed ... I'd take them off but then ill have 2 holes in the door to fix ... Maybe something ill look at in the long run ...

I've had enough of the Dynamat (ran out of sheets and still have the boot to go, will have to wait a few weeks for $) ...

Next step it to fix the rear seat ... When we pulled the seat off there was a heap of straw / hay ... It was way too messy and didnt sound good when you sat on the seat ... I went down to clark rubber one weekend and asked the kid there roughly what it would cost in hi density foam to fit the seat ... He said "$20, $25 maybe $30 max should cover it" ... So off we went and ripped the straw off ... Went down to Clark Rubber again and gave them the dimensions and the lady told me $134 :O ... So now i have no backseat until i find some cheaper foam ...

Original Straw?

I think the kid was talking about cutting some up with scissors from their stock. The lady is talking about actually having it moulded I reckon. I reckon the sheet stuff off the shelf would be fine. I suppose it depends on how often you carry people around. Is it worth the moulding or just chuck some good quality sheet foam under there.

Clark Rubber is a very underrated shop.

They are very underrated ... I didnt realise how much stuff they had in there ...

The lady was talking about just a cut off their sheet ... No mention of moulding ... I need approx 2 sheets of 140 x 60 to cover the seat and back rest ... The price was approx $85 / m^2 for 50mm or a little less for 35mm ...

I dont anticipate too may back seat passengers, but its a little late to put the straw back (its been ripped and thrown away)

The inner door closing assist handles are an absolute bitch on your elbows funny bone.
They look good though and all I did was face them upside down and it helps.
However the best solution in all honesty is to get some numbers up and get an aftermarket
smaller version of the GX style steering wheel with an old datsun logo for the boss.
Id prefer a smaller black 66 style steering wheel but that would mean getting one from
say a Mitsu lancer and reworking the spline. The Mistu Lancers have very nice old style
plastic steering wheels that havent cracked in 30 years.
