hey guys i have just got hold of some 240/570R13 slicks. just wondering if there was a stock 13' rim that theese will fit on to to fit my 1000 ute? im using a slightly wider diff so im hoping it will clear.

And unlikely they will fit without some tub work

A 240 width tire requires minimum 7" wheel width. Which is doable. Such a small diameter tire will fit a 1000 -- silviaspecr's 1000 has them

235/45R13 and 255/40-13 is available here.

I think old mate means 245/70/13?

I'd recommend 8-9" as a minimum, but they should work on a 7" to 11" rim

Most copetition slicks [well Dunlop at least] are rated with the dimensions of width, diameter and rim size. They dont refer to the side wall profle size [% figure]. running 240's on a 1000 is over kill IMO, I used to run 185/580/15 on my coupe and found them hard on the drive train as there is minimal tyre slip. If you run a locked center, I think a busted axle is just a matter of time. How many heat cycles have the tyres been through?

not sure but i know theres 60% tread left. i was going to use them for down at the drags when i put my 4agte in. i figured if im using a 1200 ute diff which is 30mm wider on each side the tyres will stick out more to give me a bit more clearence. does that sound ok? i was hoping there mite be a rim which would fit theese as my rx7 had 245's on 14's. if there is no rim what would it cost to get some widend

They would hook up nice for the drags... Probably the easiest option is to have a pair of steel rims widened to suit. There are a few places in Sydney that do them...

$180 is a bit rich, If it was for the pair then maybe... Its been years since I have had any rims widened so maaybe this is the going rate these days.

funnily enough i priced a set in brisbane today... it was $180/rim also!!
