What would cause uneven combustion?

Its an A14 motor running a 32/36 and elec ignition.
#1 and #2 are running rich and #3 and 4 are running lean...
I know the fuelings not right in general but you would think this would affect it across the board.. very wierd.


<EDIT> Also, is having the distributor 180 degress out really bad? It's all timed correctly (#1 TDC, blah blah) and the firing orders correct, the only thing is the plug leads are 180 out on the dizzy.

Dizzy orientation does not matter.

Is your 32/36 centered front/back on the manifold?

You may have a vacuum leak on the #3 or #4 runner. Look at the vacuum fitting on the manifold and see if any of the hoses have cracks in them.

I didn't even think about it but my automatic vacuum pickup is on the #3 & 4 side. Would it pull enough air to affect the mixture so much.. I think it might. The carb is setup with the primary barrel closest to the engine..

hey your problem can be much efficiently handled by AC Repair Houston. so try them as they deals in thermostate ac and evry type of machinry problm...
