Don't you mean DHLA 40 mm .
They are very good carbs, reliable, very good performance. To do justice to them you really need to get a good cam (suited for side draughts) and proper manifold (match ported) otherwise it will be waste of time (too much fuel etc). Also need to choke and jet them properly, otherwise you'll be tearing your hair out, idle problems, hedging etc, may also have to upgrade your fuel pump.

no i mean DRLA they are downdraft carbs....check the link in my first post. They are the same thing as the weber idf's and ida's.

Dellorto makes a nice carb. The deciding factor is: do you have a supplier of small parts (jets, etc). That's the most important thing with any carb. If so, go for it.
