yea i think im gonna have a crack at making one with my old A14 got a T25 off a mate for $70 and all the scrap stainless pipeing i can dream of at work.

iv got a question for the turbo veterans.

what sort of compression is best for a turbo set up iv herd you want like 7:1 iv got a fresh motor on the build atm and wanting to turbo that. but will it have to much compression ?

Compression for a turbo engine should be around 8.0:1 although if it's well set up there's no reason you can't do it at 9.0:1 or 10.0:1 with modest boost levels.

a draw through setup using a downdraft carb would be an intresting setup. you have to remote mount the carb and the plumbing would be a spagetti setup.

just for neatness sake, you would have to use a sidedraft carb for draw through. I mean sure its doable, but a similar sized sidey isnt that expensive.
