I'd still go the glass panels.It is quite easy to glass your own hinges and locks into place on a nice new bonnet.This is what i normally do anyway,good luck....as a matter of interest,what sort of $$ do they want for a bonnet?

Try Challenge Fibreglass they will do one like the original with good strengthening
but you need to supply them with a perfect one.
I have one on my car but dont want its paint damaged while they play with it which
is likely. They where willing to incorporate across the full length of the bonnet
3/4 of a reverse Torana/Monaro GTS scoop (thats all that fit it 3/4) which is not overdone
and compliments the original lines of the bonnet with similar angles.
It will be blended into the original so no rivets just all smooth.
Only halve or about 5cm can be used instead of full height allowing for taller slanted engines.

yes thats the same amount i was quoted but the bloke told me that i definately need to use bonnet pins on the front which i dont want to do, ill keep searching for a second hand one i think

I spoke to Phil and he can do 600 for a proper bonnet using a scoop if need be
for the first one as the mold is complex and then drop the price if more are interested.
