Is there anywhere you can tap it to full manifold vacuum? If there is, go ahead and try it. It can actually run quite well like that, and sometimes the use of ported vac was actually to meet idle emissions standards (which are a little harder with too much advance). It won't 'hurt' the motor with full manifold vac because as soon as you floor it, the vac advance springs back to zero and you're running on initial static timing plus whatever centrifugal for that rpm.

Worse case - if you just ran no vac advance hose at all - you'd mostly only lose a bit of fuel economy at part throttle, not the end of the world.

If you are asking if anyone has drilled a carb throttle base to make their own ported vacuum take off - I have - it's no big deal, but I haven't done it specifically on a weber 32/36. Off the top of my head I can't forsee any major pitfalls of doing it yourself!
