Just reading the posts to go with your motor pics, you can run a boost controller on a draw through system. You just have to loop the controller bleed back into the air cleaner , when you are boosting the air flow
is suficient to pull the vapours back into the engine

Sounds interesting. :)

Now i havent seen in person how much clearence there is from the mani too the strut tower but could the turbo sit low under the manifold then pipe work from there ? Or is clearance afecting it hence why the J Pipe is needed ?

On a draw-through system, can you control boost using a wastegate? I thought the way it worked was that when boost approaches the pre-set limit, the wastegate opens the exhaust pipe and starts to bypass the turbo.

Hi to adjust the boost level you tee into the line going into the wastegate actuater diaphram, and using a boost controller( just a fancy valvewith fine adjustment really) you are introducing a metered leak in this circuit.
The result is that the wastegate wont open untill the turbo is creating more pressure than the diaphram spring needs because its not getting full manifold pressure . the down side of draw through is
that the vapours that the boost controller bleeds off are flamable as said in the threads attached to the pics posted earlyer in this thread , hence looping it back into the air cleaner.
On the topic of boost controlers Ive known cowboys who have used bbq valves as boost controlers.

Yeah i started work on it yesterday arvo, i pulled that ugly inlet manifold off and went into work today and started work on a couple bits and peices, still no turbo yet, i'll have to get off my ass and go hunting for one.Well while i'm here........... Any one want to sell me a T25? hopfully in good condition, that would be good i wouldn't have to get off my ass and go and find one
I'll keep everyone posted!
