Hey guys

Getting a roadworthy soon and just checking all my lights etc in advance.

Headlights come on fine but high beams don't seem to be working, but I can't remember exactly how they turn on so it's difficult to trace! There's a switch to the right of the steering wheel. You can:

pull it outward once
pull it outward a second time
once it's out you can rotate it one 'click' clockwise

Can anyone please tell me what each of these three positions is? Also any tips on sorting the high beam issue would be great. There doesn't seem to be a separate fuse but I've recently had the dash out and thinking maybe I missed a plug somewhere? Other lights are 100% fine, though, so that seems strange.

on my 1200 you pull the knob twice then move the inticator forward for high beams

I think it's as follows:

pull it outward once + indicator forward = parkers
pull it outward a second time + indicator forward = high beam
pull out once or twice + indicator not forward = normal lights
twist knob = dim dash lights

Sunnydaze is to correct that's exactly how the lights work

How many of you have found the dash switch faulty from rust from the air vent? then tried to remove the switch to replace with good one only to not be able to get it off cos the spring inside the knob is rusted solid in the compressed position?

it's true though, I've only been able to remove the switch from one of my dashes
