Hi everyone, was wondering if anyone can provide me with the mounting location measurements for the "deluxe" shields that go on the front fenders of the B10.

Can anyone help me? I have a pair or them but have no idea where they should go!

they go on the front 1/4s below the datsun badges. about 4cm below them? centered.

have a look at the first pic in the 1000 2door tech wiki.

Yikes I was supposed to get some dimensions for you wasn't I.

Isn't your B10 a deluxe? or did the pin holes get covered?

Chris

I know they go below the "Datsun" badges on the fender. You see... I don't have the Datsun badges on the fenders to start with haha. I'm trying to figure out the exact place they should do since my holes were patched when the car was painted.

From the pictures I've seen, they go below the "rib", the line that runs from the front all the way to the back. How far down and how far back from the wheel wheel, I have no idea.

Chirs, no worries.
I saw your post about your recent meeting with a truck driver, sucks. Hope you get it fixed soon. It's not time sensitive or anything, mine's off the road still late April anyways. Just thought I'd take a break from studying and get them mounted.

That's got me thinking...does anyone have a pair of the "Datsun" badges for the fenders they want to sell?

I have one set that I replaced with the Sunny ones so I can't really help you there, best to start an advert, dundee1000 would almost certainly be able to help you.

I'm taking the car in to get priced for a repair job and possible full respray pending the opinion of the professional. So when I'm all done I will try and remove the badges and measure up, the only thing that I think you could reference from would be the style line that runs along the entire side of the car, trouble with mine is it has after market trim glued over the style line so it's a little vague. I do have spare guards that I can measure from but I can't get to those until tomorrow. Anyway I can definitely measure along it and note where all the holes are located.

Thanks Chirs, I don't think I need to know where the holes are so you don't have to remove the badge. I don't plan on drilling holes in my fenders. I think two measurements would be fine.

1) From the style line to the top of the badge

2) Edge of the fender (edge being the side where the driver's door starts) to the side of the badge. I think that's close enough for my needs.

Thanks!

Here you go Kent, rib line to the top edge of the emblem 16mm, edge of the fender to the edge of the emblem 140mm, I hope this helps.

Thank you, Silvia!
That's exactly what I need. The reproduction badges I have don't have the pins and since I no longer have holes in my fenders, I was going to stick them on. I've been your posted on speedhunters, very nice.

And thanks anyways,Chris, you've been a big help.
