ok i have almost completely finished the utes engine bay ,i still need to finish mounting the relays and stuff under the gaurds and then i need to try and hide the fuel and brake lines ,aswell as get my braided throttle cable and some other fancy stuff

the brakes are in ,but im getting rebuild kits and new pads and rotors in the coming weeks ,and i need to find someone that can fold me up some decent thickness sills



and next on my list is to get the carbys tuned and im getting it on the o2 sensor next wednesday maybe and then i will have a rough idea of what size jets to buy ,if i need to change them !

ok update

so i ordered my lowered king springs last week and when i put them in they made the car sit higher so ,seeing as they are nonreturnable ,i had to use then ,after half an hour with and angle grinder trolley jack and my handy rattle gun ,the struts had come out then in ,out then back in again ,i cut 1 complet coil out of the springs to start of with ,then i put them back in and i still wasnt quite happy with the hieght ,so now it sits pretty much perfect :D

and i hjave finished the rust in the floor with my red primer ,and rust converter (i finished it last week but anyways) and then i was under the passenger floor to find a bit of rust the size of a 50cent coin ,so the carpet has to come up yet again :(

i also finished taping and organising my engine harness ,i have started on the under dash one but it has melted wires everywhere and has had wires replaced which makes it hard to find where they go while trying to follow the factory diagram !

i also finished mounting my coil under the dash ,and im realy happy with where it is sitting ,i pulled the wire out from the engine harness and just kept them behind the grommet so they dont evern go into the engine bay , after sorting that out i used the old choke cable hole to run the coil lead out and i just put a grommet in to fill the rest of the hole :)

i have fitted my good heater tap and has fixed the cable holder aswell as get my fan and little coil thing working aswell ,i hate cold weather!!! haha

oh and thanks to chris ,i have now got the right float cover gaskets ,and dont have to use the ones that were in the kits that i bought (being that i made a new hole to fit but they wouldnt of sealed for long)

oh and after checking his web site kits are $25 each ,when he charged me $50 each !!! so i got the wrong kits and he charged me for 4 of them :(

$15postage and handling

so i cant see where he has got 50 each from unless the exchange rate added $50 when it was almost the same

i've nearly finished the sills for ya just in the process
of rolling them to give them that curve.
then it will only take bout 10mins to bend them up on the magna bend....
so i will let u know when there done champ....

ok so its been a while but i have an update

ok so i put the door back on and aligned the door ,closes better now !

i also started fiddling with timing again and i got it running nice again ,but it had no adjustment left in either slot ,so ill be pullin it out and cutting a bigger slot !

i have dropped it abit at the back ,1 inch lower again

so its got 3 inch blocks and 1.5 inch flip on the leafs !

now i gotta chop the front agian :(

the ute is booked in for next week to get a tune up :D tims going to put the o2 sensor on it and let me know how far out it is ,and he has a set of jet drills he has used a few times on webers with great success so ill be happy if he can get my ute running nice and not use fuel like a C15 !

also i bought new rotors to find they only have 1mm of wear from new ,so im abit #OOPS#ty about that ,means i cant skim them if i have to
next im getting pads and a set of tyres for mike ;)

i might get stuck into panel work soon ! needs nome serious attention ! sills need doing a,door needs fixing ,aswell as painting he nbew bonnet and fixing the little dents in the tail gate and some little bits of touch up work on the gutters :D

then get neons and disco lights and parrrrttttaaayyy

hmm might try hotter plugs in the ute too ,might help?? need the 4 stroke performance book mike was telling me about first !!

tonight i pulled both carbs of and i finaly got my new throttle pump push rods (yeoow) so im putting them on the carbs tomorrow at the shop ,then when i get home im going to put the carbys back on the ute ,balance them and drive it to the shop ready for thursday to be tuned

finished tidying up under the dash and stuff ,just need speakers then the inside will be pretty much done ,not sure if i should lift the drivers seat up and inch or so ,at the moment it is kinda hard to drive cos i cant see the tip of the gaurds !

just sit on a milk crate- thats the rage in perth????

i need new batterys for my camera so ill put them uip when i get some

so tomorror i need to take the ute to tims shop ,the ute went okish tonight on the way to the tyre shop ,but then i went over a huge bump just before the turnoff to pinjarra road when i heard a huge snap crackle and pop ! ,turned out to be the chin spioler fell off and my super duper mounta didnt work properly hahaha

anyways i took the carbys to work on the maifold and at lunch i put the pump rods on and stuff ,then i put the carbs back on the ute ,gave it a quik tune up and headed off to get fuel ,to then find the radiator cap crapped its pants and just lets the woter blow past and out the overflow pipe ! ,so i need a new cap too

hopefully tim can fix my ute ,i dont want to spend much more on it just yet ,i still need to buy a new tool box and all the tools

its going to cost $2780 to get the tool box ,1/2 ,3/8 ,1/4 rachet/socket sets
ring and o/e metric and af spanner set
plier tray ,sideys needle nose ,and pliers


then i need to get tyres for mike ! so im stuck for cash kinda ,im going to get the ute sorted then save and buy tools ,oh and ive gotta pay $150 for my log book test on monday !!!

i need a pay rise !

ok so today the ute went in to get checked out ,and i have been told i need new pilot jets ,cos someones #OOPS#ed them and they are distorted

it also needs new pilot jets too along with most the other jets !!! they have been drilled and the person that did them decided to drill them right out then solder and redrill ,so they have #OOPS#ed the jets to start with ,which means i need new jets so there is some room to move out (up) in the size of the jet

might check out some threads and see if i can find anyone with a similar setup and copy there jet list to then get new jets the same size !

i think clyons has a chart, one of the best members in the ways of documenting things ! and he knows his stuff with solexs !
