I bought mine for $135 shipped to my door and i fitted it up last weekend! car needs a tune but all in all a much better improvement over the old one! just had to swap my choke cable round to the other side and done!

the guy i dealt with is happy to send out 'samples' and would be happy if people wanted to do a group buy..
i can pass details on to anyone who's interested.. sure beats buy a 2nd hand one and recoing!

Yes, it fits any A12 even antipodal ones. Jetting is fine for any stock type A12.

The choke cable comes from the opposite side.

it's just the one I bought (i posted about it in this post) and fitted is not running right.. mechanic has said it might be the float or jet setup..

Everyone says that. But the jetting for USA vs Japan model is different, it's not enough to make it run poorly. In other words the jetting will run good either way.

Yes, if the float adjustment is not correct it will run badly. But you can check this by the sight glass on the outside of the carburetor. It is visible without removing any parts
