Hi Guys

I got my friends datto today and came , i have a problem on it, when the engine gets heated i get a air leak sound from left side of the engine bay and when it is high car is not pulling at all and dies at once, then it doesn't start until the engine get cold.what sort of a problem is that ? engine doesn't overheat or no reduction of radiator coolant
Any suggestions ?

I cannot guess at the air leak sound.

But the other problem sounds like a hot fuel line (fuel lock).

Yepe this is something new to me, i have never faced similer,
the sound is just like when the blower is on,increases according to the engine rpm, when it is going very high at a time then the engine dies car and pulls very weakly.
idle is ok for any time but this problem occurs while accelerating a little time and go.

could it be the vacuum advance unit on the distributor? (only thing on left side with an air line) maybe there is a leak in there? test if the vacuum advance is sealed by taking the hose off at the carby... try to blow in it, if you cant the vacuum advance is sealed... if you can then there must be a hole

Try the anti-dieseling solenoid valve, mine had the same problem.

i have a big doubt about a compressor leak too, found that radiator coolant is little oily too..

Hi Guys

It was a blocked carburetor or similer problem, that got vanished at once while i was climbing a hill on 2nd gear suddenly , after that car was pulling normal.
