Yes paypal seems to have their own exchange rate, where it doesn't correspond with the actual exchange rates.

This has happened to me a lot but I have never pursued it. Can you let me know how you go? It pisses me off as we pay the fees and yet don't get the full benefit of the strength of the exchange rate.

you have to be very careful how you have you funds listed in your account, their exchange rate is always in the favour of paypal, but this is how they make money, nobody could expect a service like theirs to operate for free..
hence I quote a lot of items for people from Japan, and end up copping plenty of flack for prices, "oh but the Prices on the website are only xxx Yen.." there is so much hidden in fees charged, postage packaging, paypal fees bank fees, duty and taxes blah blah... I'm glad most items are on Ebay these days, but I am always willing to do my best..

ooops end of rant,.. just some advice..

PayPal sucks the balls but unfortunately they are convenient (the only good thing going for them).

Can't wait till another system drives them out (hopefully offering better fees!).
