Nice work carps have you got a rough price yet ?

hey shoota yeah got a sweet respirator so no coughing up a lung....
and jesse prob be looking at around $35 to $40 for the stainless ones and prob around $25 for perspex

well guys be busy started to sort out my sexy hubcaps.... spent most the night tapping out little dents without scratching the chrome
on the two half decent hubcaps i have, and masking the bastards for paint.... very time consuming,
so got em in primer, as i am sort of doing a GX replica to an extent i will be painting the inner pieces dark grey but the same as
my grille, would of painted them tonight but don't have any paint dame it!!!! looked for ages thinking i still had some... so will be picking up a litre tomorrow after work....
did start to assemble the diff too and put the rear brakes together.

Hells yea ,ill take.a set for sure ,im thinking tinted perspex would look sick on my coupe with a set of watts and flares :D
Also did you use rattle can primer or primer out of a gun ? Can ratrle can primer be painted over with paint from a gun ? Or will I need to get the primer off and stary from scratch ?

Hey champ yeah just used primer out of a can, plus it don't matter if you
paint over it with a spray gun, just depends on how thick a coat of paint you
want...... i will try and get the perspex ones made soon jesse hope to have pic's up tomorrow of them...

so i got my GX steering wheel in the mail today "stoked"
well took it apart to give it a lick of paint and to re-trim the surround which has a nice bit missing....
apart from that its awesome.....
will be doing some more work tonight thank god!!! cause i'm not on call all week yay......

so prep'd and painted the wheel, plus painted the hubcaps
both cam out really nice will put wheel back together tomorrow when paint is more than touch dry...
cleaned up the horn pad bit of a clean and it came out like new...
plus filled the hole in the wheel with some left over dash foam from an old dash i had in the shed....
just need to recover it and will look like new....
anyway here's a pic or two....

bit of a reference on what the front end of the car will look like with the hubcaps on... just think white wall tyres too.....
its exactly the colour scheme i had in my mind....

Hells yea steve ,looks mint , that horn part ,what did you clean it with ? My wheel needs a clean but I dont want to damage it with anything nasty

hey jesse, i just cleaned it will armor all stuff that stuff works a treat...


well on call again as some dudes sick so no car work tonight... frowny face
but i did a little something to my hubcaps
made little stickers for them they look pretty cool...
here's a pic anyway .
