It's the amount of angled faces on the valve seating area and valve seat
I think it just gives a better seal

fairly aggro cam ,billet rocker spacers
twin 40mm solex carbs on bpro manifold
MSD 6al2 with 2 step limiter
4speed 60a box
hd clutch
2 inch exhaust
locked 4:11 ute diff

ok so i have to thank ernie for all his help through out this build ,we have spend a few hours on the phone and he has beeen a huge help with this motor
anyone that can instruct me on how to dial a cam in ,over the phone is a legend !
now ,ive had 3 goes at trying to upload a huge spool on what i did ,and all the pics
i picked the motor up ,brought it home ,cleaned it up and got ready to paint it ,after i had done my piston to deck hieghts
next i painted the block and put all the bearing crank and pistons with rings in the block ,check the bearing clearances with plastigauge and then lubed up the journals and torqued it all down
next i dialed the cam in and did my piston to valve clearances again ,it all checked out so i then moved on to putting the head gasket and head on with the pushrods
next i painted up my rocker cover ,polished my timing cover ,and painted most the other bolt on bits

oh and i bought new fuel lines ,old ones were $hit ,cost an arm and a leg but well worth it :D
