Hey guys been trying to start my ute for the last few days
put all the wiring in and tried to start it and nothing.
Starter doesn't make any noise thinking the starter it buggered or
needs a good clean. Has anyone had this problem before???
It's annoying me like crazy as I have tried two of my starter motors
and still nothing. Replaced battery. Now I just get a clicking noise but not from the starter

Help me please.........

Starter motor, connected to battery? Volts going to solenoid when cranking?

Even is starter rooted, will still get volts to solenoid and usually hear it click.

That wiring is a problem. The S wire should go to the starter, not the IGN wire.

The starter only needs 3 things, which you can measure with a voltmeter or test light:
* Earth/Ground. The Neg. battery cable should bolt directly to the engine.
* 12V supply. The Pos. battery cable should bolt directly to the starter.
* Starter wire.

Easiest way to test it is set the hand brake, put it in nuetral, reach down beside the engine and touch a screwdriver on the solenoid -- from the Pos. cable to the S terminal. If the starter, battery cables and battery are good it will crank.

my starter was making this very loud noise when cranking the engine and it was really really loud my neighbor told me they were disturbed every morning since i go to work early. so yesterday i went to my mechanic and he told me to replace the bendix drive which i have no idea what it was, they put it back and to my amazement i can barely here the starter. it was really that silent. i'm really happy about it and my neighbor.
