Hey guys,

Im needing some door hinge bushes for the ute, as the rego guy is hassling me to change them.

I dont have access to a lathe so I cant exactly turn some up.

Is there a kit available?

Alternatively does anybody have some passenger side hinges they could sell me so I can press the bushes out? (passenger side hinges are less likely to be worn out?)

There is a bloke on Ozdat that does rebuilds of 1600 hinges and I thought I recalled him saying he could do 1200's as well. Give him a try and see what can be done..

I bought mine from Nissan dealership $40 for all four hinges (ute). Can't get my hinges apart though and too afraid to hit them with a hammer.

my dad and i hit them with a hammer, replaced the bushes and then my grandpa made new pins for them ;)

Wayne Davis contacted me and said he can do 1200 hinges.

the cost is $80/side + post.

Now Im after a set of drivers side hinges so we dont have any down time on the car.


Anybody have a set of drivers side upper and lower hinges for sale?

I've got heaps of hinges but none that i recall have the retainer thing that holds the door open.

the door retainer is not important. the existing one is broken anyway and I cant say it's absolutely necessary.

If you have a pair you are willing to sell, that would be ideal.

why not just buy new Nissan hinges..... I got 4 for my car, about $40 each....

I rang Nissan Australia and was quoted $110 AUD each ex Japan.

so.. a little beyond my budget.
