are the sumps (oil pan) on an A14 the same as an A15?

No they fit but a15 has a bit more clearance for crank from memory.

They should work. A12 one on a15 causes a knock sometimes due to crank hitting sumo or is it side of Conrod

Thanks
I have noticed the "bulge" on the A15 is squared off
On my spare sump, the "bulge" has a continuous curve. I am guessing this sump is from an A14

A12 and A14 Oil pans are the same:
* Nissan part number 11110-H5000

A15 pan is:
* 11110-H9700
A15 pan will work on all mid-dizzy engines.

the old front-dizzy pan was
* 11110-H1001
