There are no gaskets to change when you swap engines.

However, since you will have the engine out of the car, it will be easy to change gaskets. If they are bad, the oil pan gasket and rear main seal can be replaced with engine out. Also inspect the Freeze Plugs (welch plugs) for signs of corrosion. Also check the Clutch and Release Bearing which should spin smoothly and quietly otherwise replace it.

Exhaust pipe for A12 sometimes works with A14:
* Depending on your pipe routing and manifold used
* A14 block is 15mm taller than A12
* A14 manifold is 3-bolt, while A12 is 2-bolt. You may cut the pipe and switch bolt-rings.

Swapping the manifolds may be possible, but the kind that bolts to the intake won't work.

If you put an A14 engine in your ute, we don't know if you'll be OK.

An A12 exhaust manifold will bolt to an A14 engine. But there are several differences. The differences include 1) A14 is 15mm higher 2) some manifolds bolt to the intake, some do not 3) A12 manifold is smaller inside than A14 4) A12 uses 2-stud flange, A14 uses 3-stud flange. There may be more differences.

Best to use the manifold that matches the engine. Modify the exhaust pipe to match (length and bolting).
