Retractable seat belt for coupe suggestion?

Hi guys,
I'm putting new seats into my coupe and I'm considering installing retractable seat belts at the same time. I'm considering installing the belts all round because they'd be better than what is there currently.

I've done some searching on the site and I've found two options. I went to Repco and they don't sell 1200 belts but they do sell 120Y rear retractable belts. The other belt option is a 1983 Sunny belt.

My questions are: Has anyone done this conversion in a coupe? Did you use these belts or another Datsun belt? Is it ok to use 120Y rear belts all round in a coupe? Any help would be appreciated.

yeah will be interesting to see the answers, it's doable, suppafatto had a coupe where the retracter pack was inside the rear panel too, very neat

it's made very difficult to install because there is no high mounting point, though dattogal has them one in her coupe too - that has worked well for years, i've never really had a good look at that one though... maybe i should

i think im gonna need to do this soon for engineering my cadet coupe

do you mean for front or rear belts (or both)?? i got some from repco a couple of weeks ago for the front, were multi fit retractible klippin brand. If you get stuck i could find the part number. Have never looked into the rear though. Would 1200 sedan rear seatbelts fit?? isn't there a high mounting point in the rear under the hoodlining??

If it's doable in the rear I'd prefer to have retractable belts on all four seats. I assume the front will be necessary for engineering.

Well with Nutserts or rivnuts and a big washer you can make your own high mount

So these are just a generic Klippin belt? They're not specific to a Datsun or anything? Can I get a part number if possible?

i had a set in my coupe.
It was the klippin brand, if i remember they were options with the retract angle (30 deg or something like that) ill see if i can find mine, they are in a box somewhere in the garage.
This is the only pic i could find with them installed.

If i remember, the bottom mount was to the standard position, I mounted the strap and retract mechanism one behind the other.
