The other day I noticed moisture around my fuel pump , it doesn't look oily so I was thinking it might be fuel .
I went to buy a fuel pump kit from bursons but they only do a whole pump , does anyone know where to get a kit?

Thanks

Nissan sells a kit, but no other auto parts store does. You might find one from rare spares or ebay.

The kit is for the early type A12 fuel pump.

Also early/late model pumps are different I believe. I put my early model fuel pump with the 1cm spacer onto late model block and it didn't work. "tongue" lengths were different. So I used an a14 fuel pump instead.

A14 and A12 late pumps are the same. See Fuel Pump

Only the ones with the screws holding it together are rebuildable.

Hey thanks for all the quick replies, I think mine is the late model, with the distributor at the centre of the block,
If this is the case does this mean I will have to get an a14 pump as the kits that are available won't fit?

Just checked on eBay and there are a couple of cheap pumps available from overseas for a Datsun 310 , am I correct in thinking that is an a14 engine and therefore a compatable pump ?

You need a kit for the Pump you have -- not for the engine. A given A12 engine may have a rebuildable or non-rebuildable pump. And A12s had different types of rebuildable pumps. Nissan fitted at least five kinds of pumps to A12 engines. Some A12 used the same pump as A14. Rebuild kits differ for each type. Does yours have a 3-bolt top, 5-bolt top, or no-bolt top?

"Datsun 310" 1978-1982 is a front-wheel drive model (Pulsar). Datsun 310 1982 had the E15 engine. 1978-1981 was fitted with A14 or A15 engine and had a pump which will bolt to any A12 from 1974 up (mid-block distributor type engine). Although it bolts on and works, the location and direction of fittings differ from RWD Datsuns. Sometimes this is not a problem. Compare to yours before buying.
