I like the scoop but watch out for puddles and stuff like that.
A lot of forester guys do same and mild puddle car flood engine. Usually you leave a gap between panel and intake to give water a different route to take.

cheers for the heads up, I did a very similar intake on my evo 6 awhile ago.. Normally run A open style mesh to stop larger objects coming in and that worked pretty well for breaking large amount of water up as well...
