Ok i thought i would start an official thred. As some may know Just on a week ago i picked up a 1200 coupe which i intend to use for hill climbs, motorkhana and sprints.
I said i wasnt going to start this project untill my 240z was finished, But seeing i have it sitting at work i thought i would make use of my lunch brakes and start work on it. this wwk i hit it with the deoxodine and blew a thin coat of primer over the bare metal to keep the rust away.
I also managed to fit some wheels i have had sitting aside for many years. I may use these i may not. One thing i learned while doing this is that it has disk brakes up front. I Thought they were all drums up front.
Next weekend i am travelling to Victoria to pick up a L20b and 5 speed box as well as some 200b struts and brakes all for $200. I will run this engine for a while but may upgrade to a sr20de in the future. I am looking forward to getting stuck right in to this build. It is going to be a lot of fun
Check out the pick. I think it needs lowering. I think i will be making a few visits to maddat for some suspension upgrades

looking good, i like the wheels. by the way, all coupes have disc brakes.

Yes, needs lowering! L20B will lower it about an inch. It's a great engine too.

Yeh unfortunately all 4 of these rims has a slight buckle and it would be cheaper to find another set than to get them re rolled. Which is a shame because I like them to.
