Hey guys,

I've been looking on this site for a few months but finally bought a 1200 on Saturday after regretting selling my ae86 Trueno and realising I don't like turbos and sold my 180sx! It's a 1984 model with a rebuilt A12and weber in really good condition only surface rust is in the tray from use but it's covered with an awesome hardtop. Basically the long term plans are to put an A14/15 in it and keep it NA with, lowered on 14s, fender mirrors and keep everything else standard.

First up it need carpet so I'm going to throw in some sound deadening as well and also change the bucket seats back to standard seats once I get the original ones retrimmed and then buy some 14s and lower. So if anyone is interested in the seats or wheels let me know! Seats bolt straight up to original rails and fit in the cabin well

Nice, very nice.

Stock seats for a ute are bucket seats. Just a wee bit flatter than the ones you already have.

How does she run with the sidedraught weber?

Yeah I've got the original ute seats, they're just ripped and brown so would be good to get them retrimmed in black vinyl.

I was very surprised at how well it goes actually considering its only a 1.2 still but I haven't driven a standard A12 so can't really compare it to much

Yeah I was having a look at your old thread! It wasn't as well kept as when you had it but the body is still in good condition just have to work on the interior as the previous owner started to convert the interior to black but didn't finish.

Excellent, he paid around 6 for it 2 years ago so the carby upgrade and interior start make it a pretty good pickup for you.

Well a couple of days into ownership and the hand brake cable has snapped on me! Where's the best place to get a new one? Through Nissan or aftermarket?

Is this still the right part number for a ute? (if theres a difference)

Its just snapped on the brake side but I'm guessing I'm better off replacing the both ends
