I have an early LHD 1972 (1/72)coupe and want to know if the wiper motor and arm from a RHD 1970 coupe are the same and will interchange? I realize that the wiper transmission is different from LHD to RHD.

They appear to be the same. I'd say it's worth trying to see. They might park differently (electrical difference).

Do you have a RHD parts car? I could use some RHD parts.

I don't have a RHD car for parts, just trying to work out a deal on a RHD Wiper Motor and arm to be used on a LHD car. I am trying to do my homework first so I don't get stuck with a part I can't use (part is coming from Aus).
I am trying to convert an ex-drift car back to street. I got rid of some good stuff off of it, like a Mad Dat crossmember, and a 190 510 Wagon diff. It is an auto car to begin with, so that is a plus. When they stripped it for weight reduction, they took lots of little stuff. The bits I got with the car aren't nearly what I need.

So I took photos of both. What is different between RHD and LHD is the crank arm, which is not sold separately.

Left: LHD stamped '164'. Right: RHD, not stamped.

The motors look identical. At most there might be a slight clocking difference (motor shaft turned slightly different when assembled), but they look the same. A clocking difference will affect the parking position.

(front) LHD vs RHD (background) -- the parked position looks the same.

Though they are fitted to opposite sides of the firewall, the motors look identical.

Thanks for the clarification, David. This is really helpful, not just for general information, but for those wishing to change from RHD to LHD, and vice versa.
