what h190 is it your using? like a 1600 wagon diff or something?

pretty sure the bluebird or gazelle diff is the one to use for shortening. dont think there are wider h190s than them

will you even have time to break an axle between trips to the gutter?

i have the a15 vanette h190 at the moment

getting a bluey one and shortening may be my best option

your sense of humour is in the gutter.... and i won't be joining it

i thought the a series vanettes had h165s? thought it was the Z series engined ones that had the h190s?

atleast getting a look at a bluey diff would be the way to go. whip an axle out and measure it up to see what will work. then let me know as i wouldnt mind building a h190 for the wagon at some point

you mean wont be joining it AGAIN

so i'm starting to like the idea of the bluebird diff shorten more and more, i found i have a bluey housing and centre, but no axles

anyone know if the housing is the same for 23 and 29spline? may be able to retain the already modified housing and upgrade with bluey centre and shortened bluey axles, but that may be wishfull thinking

so what makes the z20 vanette diffs not worth touching? wouldnt they just be a 29 spline h190?

housings should be the same, the carrier is the same im pretty sure, so i cant see why the housing would be different. would just depend on what wheel bearings they use, whether they are the passenger car ball bearing type or the industrial taper roller type
