Hey guys my 1200 ute has no reds, tachometer, blinkers, fuelgauge, temp gauge, and no power I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem. And it's raining at mine so I can't even go at look for the problem I am thinking a broken wire somewhere in the loom but if I put power to the ign wire on the ignition barrel I can start the car but nothing will work. Thanks

Yes, when my Fusible Link blew, i had the same problem.

Look for it on the POS battery cable.

And not recommended to bypass them, rather a burnt out link than,a melted fuse box

xf falcons are good source for them from wreckers. Same part different connectors. There's that Nissan Ford parts sharing from the 1980.s,lol

This link has all the information for getting the right Fusible Link. Nissan version is $10, but if you get a generic version it is only $2.

OK, so I thought I would highjack this thread, rather than start another one, but my ute seems to have "lost" its left hand indicators and headlights. It seems a strange combo to lose, to me, but I am hoping someone has come across this before, and can poiint me in the right direction.

All fuses are fine, and every affected single globe has been checked with a multi meter. This is pretty much the extent of my electrical knowledge (other than the golden rule - dont let the smoke out of the wires) so any and all suggestions will be gratefully accepted.

haha smoke. Interesting problem ... One place they have in common is the Dimmer/TS switch on the column.

Yeah, that was my thought too. Only problem is, after pulling it out and giving it a thourough cleaning, I cant find anything wrong with it :/

Oh, and to confuse matters entirely, the hazard lights work perfectly.

I am going to be bald pretty soon if I dont get this figured out.

either that, or the fkn thing will be on the side of the road with a for sale sign in the window pretty soon.

Anyone have any other suggestions?
