his reply ws "interesting"
so maybe we can both come along, he'll probably be a certainty if i tell him a 1200 with 13BT will be there aswell

what area are you going from?, we are both around bayswater, is your car registered? are you planning on trailering your car or driving it there?

just wondering, sounds like it'll be a good day if we can have 3 1200's there!, im trying to decide if i should take mine on a trailer just in case, its probably worth doing so

haha, i am from the northern suburbs near epping, the car is registered, but i am 99% sure that i will be trailering it there, i am hoping to have it tuned on some sort of race fuel as well so that will rule it out for being driven there.
feel free to email or pm me about it, cos the thread is getting a little off topic, sorry about that :)

Anyone know the conversion factor for KW-to-HP? I've seen plenty of 8 second Coupes here in the States and Puerto Rico, but all seem to be 400-450HP+.

if a 1200 could put out 300kw at the tyres with an awesome torque curve and a high average power, and assuming everything holds up and nothing breaks, and has good traction all the way... what sort of 1/4 time could one expect?

Given all the parameters above, with perfect 100% traction, a slip proof clutch, AWESOME TORQUE, & the best driver in the world, i recon, i...i... i recon you could get it down to 6 seconds,... no wait, with acid dipped body & alloy bumpers & a 2" top chop, you could probably do a high 5. Yeah, perfect traction, no busted bits ....................
I'm going back to the real world now.

edit
add about 1/3 to killowatts to get a ball park HP number

well if you want to get real picky:

1 HP = 0.74569987162199 Kilowatt
1 Kilowatt = 1.3410220895236 HP

Well you started it

why be a smart ass for? what i said is realistic, dont know what your on about... i said nothing about perfect traction, i said good traction.

just that i have a 230kw S13 that can run a high 11 with decent semi-slicks, with what i would call 'good traction'...

Yeah this is what I'm afraid of...a 180SX with similar mods to what my 1200 is going to have, runs 12's....in a lighter car it's just going to be insane. I was hoping to build a streetable car, but more and more I think about it, I'm sure it will be streetable, but not practical. I'm gonna have to do some serious drivetrain work to keep from breaking stuff going that fast. Ugh!
