Or just use a Nissan H190. Some are shorter than a 1200 diff so need no shortening.

The biggest cost in "shortening" is extras that are really not part of shortening: Brake rebuild or disc-brake conversion, new LSD, new gearsets, new bearings etc.

Mad Dat sells a shortened R31 diff with disc brakes for Datsun 1200 that is only $2345. So that is the top-quality price. Mad Dat Diff.

Dd I'm running 10" wide rims with 5" lip and making 450hp.not sure the h190 will hold up lol I'm going to shorten hoisting then get some billet axles made then rebuild brakes add new bearings etc will be good when its finished :)

it,s pretty pricey.you can get it a lot cheaper than that an with a rebuilt centre r31 LSD

I can make u a hilux or r31 diff with whatever width u require and whatever leaf spring width u need with r31 or commodore disc brakes. I use masterline axles out of america made by mark williams. Pm ur requirements I can give u a quote. Top quality work out of one of the best diff companies in australia

Yes, shortening does not include fitting a centre. Two seperate things.

R31 (Borg Warner 78) can't handle 400 ft lb of torque can it?

hey guys i saw the post and i have a question. I have a H165 4.87gr, anyone know where i can buy a ring and pin so i can get it down to a 4.11gr? ive seen some online but they are 400$-500$

Maddat for the.... I have maddat diff and I only went with them because it came with everything ready to bolt in... Also for the price I couldn't get one made in Perth for the same price..,,
