hi all i would just like to know how everyone else has tackled this rust spot. im sure its a common occurance with the utes.

I'd cut it out and replace it, as it looks like rust will be on the underside of what you can see and you will probably not be able to access it to fix it properly.

So you would say unpick the spot welds and fab up a whole new section? The straight side under the side vent isn't so important most of it can be cut and left my only concern is the curved section.

That's what I'd do. Un-spot it and replace sections where the rust is.
