hi guys.. here i'd like to seek advise.

currently im modding the c22 disc and caliper to my b310 wheel hub. im doing this in order to fit in 13" rim and unchanged offset.
i've sent the complete strut/knuckle to the machine shop to fabricate the spacer between c22 disc and stock wheel hub. and caliper bracket.
while working on the spacer, the guy didnt thread the hole for bolt from disc. instead, he drill new threaded hole beside tht. pictures attached.
im wondering its strong enough and any balancing issue...

pls advice. thanks.

It appears the first photo is mislabeled. The last photo shows the hub bolts in the center of each group of three holes. If the holes are drilled concentric to the center (as appears to be so) there will be no issues.

i think, i didnt make myself clear here.. the idea is like in the drawing.

the spacer placed in between the stock wheel hub and c22 disc. both the stock wheel hub and c22 disc doesn't have threaded holes. as per the drawing, the red holes are to bolt the disc to spacer. and the blue holes to bolt the wheel hub to the spacer.

The machine shop guy didnt thread the red holes, and the holes are little bit bigger, so cant fit the original bolt if threaded. instead of making new spacer, he just drill new threaded holes in between red and blue holes.

now im thinking to drill a new holes for wheel hub bolts as per the markings in the picture attached. so the spacer will be with 16 holes. ( but only 8 usable.)

the weight of the spacer will reduce, but worried that the extra 8 unusable holes will weaken the spacer.

excuse my bad English. :)

because of the laws of leverage the holes in the spacer, being in the center of the wheel assembly, will not make much difference, especially since they are roughly opposite eachother.

A simple spacer is loaded in compression by the studs and is strong this way. Being aluminum, it is not so brittle, but cracks can grow (propigate) so dress down the edges of the holes with sandpaper untill there is a smooth radius with no place for cracks to begin.

Yours looks like more than just a spacer. It looks as if you are adapting different stud patterns to eachother.
This is a completely different matter as sevral things can go wrong with it. It is loaded more complexly than a spacer with bending loads between the two stud patterns. If that is the case, you want a minimum of holes in it because holes increase stress by reducing the area of the load bearing part. I'd be very careful if that is the case.
An engineer would be needed to address that question.
A new part would be cheaper than his work.

If, on the other hand it is only a spacer with nothing screwed into it, don't worry about it.

Which parts are you actually changing? Drums and disks take very different pressure to operate and residual pressure is different also. It would be simplest if you just used the entire system from any one car. drums, shoes, slave cylinders, master cylinders, boosters, disks and their calipers, pads and associated slave cylinders.
I've gone down this road several times myself. With an odd set of parts, you really only find out if it works when you push the brake pedal down the first time. Then it may pull to one side, lock up a wheel or wheels or just stop poorly. Pedal pressure can be so high as to make stopping dificult, then it is time for a booster cylinder,a different master cylinder or possibly a different lever length on the pedal.
If you build some adjustability into it, your system will be easier to set up.

Will it be balanced? If you are using odd goods, the odds are good that the result will not be good.

Thanks dennisg. As for the spacer, its not aluminum but Steel.

for the rear brake, I suppose to swap the complete axle with disc from s110. But unfortunately someone taken the item before me. And its difficult to find the s110 in my place.
so I decided to replace the stock b310 rear drum brake assembly with c22 (c22 slavepump, brake shoe, backplate and drum) as its bigger thn stock b310 rear brake and match(?) with front c22 brake. But in the junk yard, i saw the Nissan b14 rear brake. Pcd 114.3. I tot I can fabricate the caliper bracket.

so, will the front and rear c22 brake will be better or front c22, rear b14 disc will be better?
btw, I'm using Silvia s14 booster and master pump.

As I read thru the forum, if I convert rear disc, I need to remove the RV from the PV. Since I'm using the s14 master pump , there won't be any rv in it right? Correct me if I'm wrong. thanks
