S2000 ought to way more than an engine - it's a whole car.

That 408 pounds (185 kg) is for the FC20 engine and the 6-speed transmission combined.

Its so heavy and exxy to rebuild the Yanks do a 40kg heavier LS v8 crate engine kit with tremec for better performance and handling that hardly raises a sweat due to the torque & double the hp. Theres also a GM rear end conversion. The New Hemi 2 weighs the same as the FC20.

Better update the old threads than start a new one that way all info in one area and less work for filing

185 - 171kg = 14kg

factory F20C flywheel is 14lbs / 6.36 kg
factory ca18det flywheel is 29 lbs / 13kg

14Kg + 6.64 = 20.64kg / 45lbs extra
if ca18 used same fly weight as F20C

The height of the F20C engine is another issue
to fit a 1000 or other car they are massive donks
most of the clubman guys chop the bottom part of
the bellhousing and run dry sumping to fit
